how hard is it to grow Morning Glory flowers on Gulf coast in Texas?
what all do I need to grow a successful plant? and if I decide to grow plant / flower will produce seeds? if so, what time of year? and how many will it produce?
Not hard at all. In reality, in your area are considered weeds. There is a variety called Heavenly Blue, which is just that. At least the first in the morning, later in the day, it turns purple, but it's ok b / C the next day it is back to blue. You want to soak the seeds overnight, or cut the smallest nick out late, before you plant, so the root can get out. Set seeds in loose, fertile soil about 1 / 2 "to 1 / 4" down. Keep them well watered and fertilize with something like Miracle Grow. They need light, full sun and perhaps afternoon shadow. It will produce seeds, so next year you will not do anything but weeds around the vines that you want and water / fertilize as usual. They need a support or else just wander as I do. Good luck!
