How was life on the ironclads during the Civil War?
I was wondering how life was on the ironclads. What did they eat, what they did? What has they done to amuse themselves, and so on! This is a civil war paper in social science and reason in the morning! I can not find much information on this topic, so what you For tell me! And please give me some links you've used so I can write a bibliography! Thanks again! Xoxoxoxo Elizabeth <3

Proposal for books on important matches or tactics of famous leaders?
Hi I would like to read something about the biggest and most important battles in history. Not only they really knew them, like those of Hannibal and Alexander, but also others who had a great influence on the world. If you know of books about strategy (in match) of a famous leader, you can also move them. PS: I would prefer literature of ancient battles / leaders, but simply recommend whatever you think is good, whatever era is about. Thanks so far (the proposal with Machiavelli and Sun Tzun was really good – the idea of reading this never crossed my mind ^ ^) Does anyone know a good book on the ancient Greece and its military?

Why is WW1 considered the second bloodiest war, when the Taiping rebellion killed more than WW1?
I have read that the Taiping Rebellion of 1850-1864 killed 30 million people, while World War killed fewer. Would not it make WW1 least the third bloodiest Taiping and after WW2

How did the civil war war divides the country politically, socially, morally, and geographically? Also, do you think we could have resolved the differences without war, and we could have found freedom in another way?
political: it split all sides. Eg suppose to be democrats v. Republicans, but it was the Northern Democrats w / northern Republicans and southern Democrats Repub. moral: North: free slaves ever tone just south: keep slaves, slave geographical disadvantage: Confederates against Union, Alabama, South Carolina, etc. separated from the U.S. No way. The war was not just slaves, right? It was about the economy. The Southerners needed free labor for cotton production. Without them, the plantations fail and they would be bankrupt. As Southerners need slaves to survive. Was not just a moral problem for several go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_civil_war hope it helped.
